I am middle school Social Studies, English Language Arts, and Technology teacher at Kwangju Foreign School in Gwangju, South Korea. I also coach the high school girls' basketball and soccer teams. This website is meant to be an introduction to me and my philosophies on education. I have been teaching for over ten years now, though not all of that time has been as a licensed teacher in the New Brunswick Teachers Association. Nine of my years of teaching experience have been in South Korea. There is nothing in the world that I would rather do than be teaching.
I am married to a woman from Jeju Island, in South Korea, where I have lived for most of the last decade. I have two young boys, who fill my life with joy. Besides spending time with my family, educating young learners is my driving passion.
Thank you for taking the time to check out my website. I have included my CV, some references, my philosophies on teaching and assessment, my classroom management plan, some teaching artifacts, and some resources I have deemed helpful in my professional development. I have also included a blog that I will try to update regularly. Feel free to post comments about my musings.
